One question that comes up often is “how can I change the hardware for my existing preset?” For for example, let’s say you have a preset for contact that you want to run on plasma. Or here’s a real-world example. If you look in Spooky2 under the Presets tab for ear infection, you see the following. There is a preset for Contact, Plasma, Remote, and Cold Laser, but not one for Scalar. So how can I get a scalar version of the Ear Infection preset?
First we click on an existing presets, in this case Ear Infection (C) – MM. This loads all the settings and frequencies from that preset into Spooky2‘s memory. Now untick the Load Programs/Notes checkbox above the presets list. The next preset we click on, all the setting will be loaded, but NOT the programs/frequencies and preset notes.
Now click the Home button (circled in red), and click on >Shell (Empty) Presets, click on >Scalar, and then click on Spooky Scalar General (SS) – JW. At this point we have a scalar preset that contains the frequencies for ear infection. We can either load this preset into a generator by going to the Control tab, ticking Overwrite Generator and clicking on a generator button, or we can save the preset.
To save the preset, click the Save preset button (circled in red), and when the dialog called Save Preset Destination and Name appears, give your preset a name. In the picture below, I’ve named the preset Ear Infection – MM (S).
In the Spooky2 Presets tab, click on the Go to User directory button (circled in red), and click on the preset Ear Infection – MM (S). In the Control tab, tick Overwrite Generator and click on a generator button to load the preset.
